Choosing a Financial Advisor

Nowadays, it seems virtually anyone can call themselves a "financial advisor." These advisors may work in banks, wirehouses, broker/dealer firms, insurance companies, or advisory firms. In most cases, all of these advisors can offer the same financial products. So, how can you tell which advisor might be the right advisor for you and your family? At Millers Financial Group, we believe your answer should come down to three factors: Judgment, Care, and Experience.

Judgment

We believe everyone should have an advisor who has the judgment to help them navigate the critical financial decisions that affect their lives.  An advisor since 2003, Michael offers clients a time-tested, financial decision-making process that leads to confidence and security. Michael sees his role as an educator on matters such as Cash Flow, Debt Management, Financial Protection, Saving, and Investing.

Care

There's an adage, 'Nobody cares what you know until they know that you care'.  It's a good adage, especially when it comes to money matters. We believe there is no substitute for an advisor who is committed to your financial well-being.  We also believe caring for our clients means being able to provide guidance on a wide range of financial matters, not just investments. A financial plan that fails when bad stuff happens is a lousy financial plan, but apart from a caring advisor this is the plan most people have. We care enough to help our clients create a plan that entails principled strategies for protecting property, income, and economic life.

Experience

The third factor is Experience, and that is to say, YOUR experience.  When you think about working with a financial advisor, what would you like that relationship to look like?  Where do you meet?  What are the topics and how are they discussed?  Do you feel more confident about your financial life as the years go by?  Do you enjoy time with your advisor?

We believe your experience should feel like sitting down and talking with a knowledgeable friend -- one who knows the path you are on and is committed to walking it with you.

We believe these are the three ingredients that make a long-term relationship trustworthy, productive, and dare we say, FUN!
